Project Workshop

The implementation of the modular training principle within the framework of CDIO standards for a practice - oriented engineering education programs.

Because engineers design and build systems and products, project-based activities are an integral part of a productive CDIO learning environment. In the CDIO Initiative, project-based learning (PjBL) support the theory-to-practice progression.

Projects that involve conceiving, designing, implementing and operating are woven into the successful CDIO curriculum. Project-based activities are central to CDIO Standard 5 (Design-Build Experiences).

Design

Creating the design; the plans, drawings, and algorithms that describe what will be implemented.

Implement

The transformation of the design into the product, including manufacturing, coding, testing and validation.

Operate

Using the implemented product to deliver the intended value, including maintaining, evolving and retiring the system.
